Bulk Density Meter
Flowmatics Bulk Density Meter can be used to measure the bulk density of a very wide variety of products like Tea, Coffee Powder, Chicory Powder, Instant Coffee, Milk Powder, Soap Powder, Sugar, Rice, Wheat, Cereals, Pulses, Oats, Flour etc. For specific applications, other models can be supplied with flasks of different sizes and vibration of different amplitude.
The Bulk Density Meter is a general-purpose instrument, which can measure the bulk density of any free flowing powder or granular material. It vibrates a pan holding a 500cc-measuring flask through fixed amplitude of 3mm and by a preset number of strokes (1400 strokes / min) selected according to the characteristics of the material and the purpose of measurement. The number of strokes can be set anywhere between 1 and 9999, inside the meter. The volume of a standard weight of the material, as read off the bottom edge of a material placed over the material inside the flask is a measure of the bulk density of the material after jogging.
The Bulk Density Meter ISO – 3003 is available with the specifications and standards of ISO 787/11 and ASTM B 527-93 for the fine Powders.
